Beit Sahour USA’s conventions serve as vibrant gatherings where our community converges to foster awareness and trust in our organization. Each year, these events provide an unapologetic celebration of our culture, uniting Sahouris in a showcase of heritage and camaraderie.
Since our inception, we’ve proudly hosted three successful conventions, each leaving an indelible mark on our community:
These gatherings attracted over 400 Beit Sahour members, fostering heartfelt reunions, forging new connections, and nurturing a sense of community. Participants engaged in a myriad of activities, from traditional fashion shows and spirited Dabke performances to insightful workshops and themed game shows.
The conventions weren’t solely about cultural immersion; they also served as platforms for social interaction and relationship-building. Attendees enjoyed receptions, formal dinners, picnics, marathons, and various other social events, fostering an atmosphere of relaxation and camaraderie.
Crucially, the conventions weren’t just about celebration; they also facilitated important business meetings, including board and general assembly sessions, where members collaborated to enhance the organization’s structure and efficacy.
Central to Beit Sahour USA’s mission is youth development, and the conventions provided fertile ground for this endeavor. Through informative meetings, presentations, and candid discussions, young Palestinians in America explored their identity and cultural connection, forging friendships and gaining invaluable insights.
